Matthew McConaughey has donated 110,000 face masks to hospitals in the state of Texas. The famed actor made the announcement over the holiday weekend on Instagram.
“Thanks to Lincoln for donating 110 thousand masks – me and Camila McConaughey hitting the road to get em to rural hospitals in need across Texas,” he wrote.
This is the second large donation the actor has made this spring. In April, McConaughey worked with reality star Bethenny Frankel to distribute 80,000 face masks in Austin and New Orleans.
Outside of face mask donations, McConaughey has worked to help out the elderly and students. Throughout the past few weeks, he has offered messages of encouragement to graduates of the University of Texas and New York’s Urban Assembly School for Emergency Management. He has also hosted bingo nights for nursing homes in Texas.
