The soon to be Duke freshman will join Vernon Carey, Wendell Moore, and four-star Boogie Ellis in a packed recruiting class. This commitment moves the Duke Blue Devils to the number one recruiting class in the nation for 2019. The forward can score at all three levels and will be an instant starter for his new team.
The Blue Devils may also pick up another top four-star on Monday in the form of guard Cassius Stanley. Duke is continuing to add impressive talent for the 2019-2020 basketball season. The John Marshall graduate is another likely Duke “one and done”.
The Blue Devils have an impressive roster shaping up for next year despite all of the talents they have heading into the 2019 NBA Draft. Upperclassmen and freshmen will make up a deadly roster capped off with a returning sophomore Tre Jones. The John Marshall forward will provide the Blue Devils with something it seriously lacked last year.
The team lacked serious outside shooting and the newly acquired forward has that ability in spades. He is listed at 6’9″ and 215 pounds and will be an ideal power forward in college basketball. Duke is coming off a disappointing year where they failed to capture an NCAA Championship or a Final Four appearance.
This will be the fourth year in a row that Duke has the number one ranked recruiting class if all holds steady in the NCAA world. Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski and the Blue Devils fans are hoping for a better outcome with this recruiting class.
