Now that Kyrie Irving is officially done for the rest of the Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers rest their point guard hopes on Australian Matthew Dellavedova.
Now before this season Dellavedova was a relative unknown, even a month ago we were all still going “Dellavewho?”, but then Kyrie got injured and we started to know who Dellavedova is. And some of you will put the word “dirty” next to his name. And fair enough, he sabotaged the Bulls by getting Taj Gibson ejected, did the same with Al Horford, potentially injuring him and of course ending Kyle Korver’s season.
Well time has passed but the dirty label is still there and Dellavedova is annoyed by it.
“I mean, I was pretty annoyed by it to start with,” he said. “Then between Game 3 and 4 just pretty much turned off the phone and just prepared my body and watched the tape and got ready for Game 4.”
One thing is certain: If Dellavedova should be involved in any type of physical incident against the Warriors, the conjecture will return, and it will be magnified immensely given the fact that he’s now playing on the game’s biggest stage.
This guy better get his priorities straight, there are three cases that could suggest dirty play, but if there’s a fourth, how could you not call him dirty?
