Starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill has been sidelined the past 3 weeks due to a knee injury. Backup Matt Moore has filled in his spot admirably going 2-1. The Dolphins were hoping that Tannehill might be ready for the start of the playoffs but that appears unlikely at this point. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport was the first to report the status of Tannehill.
#Dolphins coach Adam Gase tells reporters that “unless something changes drastically,” QB Matt Moore will start this week.

Tannehill did not practice yet this week making his return unlikely. There is no reason to rush him back either considering how well Matt Moore has played. Miami is 9-2 since week 6 and has played really well down the stretch. The Dolphins will play the Steelers in the first round of the playoffs. Miami defeated Pittsburgh earlier during the regular season 30-15. However, that was with Tannehill under center.
Matt Moore has completed 55 of 87 attempts for 721 yards, eight touchdowns and three interceptions in three starts this season.
