The Raptors won their first NBA Championship in 2019, with Ujiri widely credited as the mastermind behind the team’s success. Ujiri has also been targeted by other teams seeking him to lure him away from Toronto. Teams such as the Washington Wizards have been previously reported to be linked to Ujiri, wishing to see the same success he’s brought to the Raptors brought to their own team.
Toronto holds the second seed in the Eastern Conference, currently holding a 2-0 series lead over the Brooklyn Nets in the first round.
