It’s no secret that many Americans are opposed to their new President. In fact, given that Trump lost the popular vote, it’s safe to replace the word “many” with “most” in that last sentence.
Historically, the Raptors have struggled to attract big-name free agents (though they have managed to retain both Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan thus far). Being able to live outside of the U.S. may be a very legitimate plus for players to take into account when making their free agency decisions.
