Mary J. Blige has collaborated with Mac Cosmetics for a special launch. In honor of Blige’s second studio album My Life turning 25 this year, she has released the Love Me lipstick. A limited edition release, the lipstick is available in the U.S. and Canada for $19.
This is the singer’s third collaboration with MAC. Mary J. Blige spoke to Pop Sugar about the collaboration and stated,
“The last time I partnered with MAC, I was not really about nude lip. I was always in a burgundy lip or black lipstick and a pound of makeup. Now I’ve evolved and grown into a place where I feel comfortable that I don’t have to wear a pound of makeup every day.”
The icon was recently honored at the 2019 BET Awards, where she was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award by Rihanna. She also performed her own tribute at the awards show, which featured a melody of classic hits.
