Above all else, Gaye will be best remember for his illustrious discography.
Over the course of his career, Gaye has released twenty five studio albums. Most notably, he released two platinum selling albums, Midnight Love and What’s Going On. In his passing, Gaye’s estate has gone on to release three more albums. This week, Gaye’s estate has decided to add on one more project to his outstanding catalog.
Marvin Gaye’s estate has released a new Marvin Gaye album called You’re The Man. According to NPR, “Gaye recorded an entire album in 1972, You’re The Man, that was never released — after a single from the album didn’t storm the charts, Gaye is said to have retreated from the project, which he also produced.” The new project comes with seventeen tracks and a few remixes from Salaam Remi.
