Marvin Bagley the potential number one pick in the 2018 NBA Draft is officially cleared to play for Duke this upcoming season. Bagley recently reclassified into the class of 2017 and committed to the Blue Devils last month. Bagley immediately elevated Duke to number one in most people’s preseason top 25 lists. He is a special talent standing at 6’11 with the fluidity of a talented wing. Bagley has a chance to have a Kevin Durant/ Michael Beasely impact at the college level. While he may not necessarily put up those type of numbers playing on a talent loaded roster in Duke, his impact will certaintly be felt.
Duke is the favorite … on paper. But still plenty of questions about the Blue Devils. https://t.co/1mu0MU0c17

With Bagley now in tow the Blue Devils will hope to live up to the hype that they couldn’t last year. With Trevon Duval giving this team a legitimate point guard this year and the return of a healthy Grayson Allen should make the Blue Devils a legitimate title contender. They will be relying on a ton of freshman in the front and backcourt with few returners to provide guidance. If their talent comes together it has potential for the Blue Devils to have a special year. Most of it comes down to just how special Marvin Bagley is. If he is all that is expected he might carry this team to a national championship on his way to being selected number one overall.
