While at a Netflix Presser in Paris, Marvel’s Daredevil, Charlie Cox spilled some good news on The Defenders. The Defenders are Midtown, NYC’s Avengers. They are a team of four that consist of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. All who have at least one season filmed, with the exception being Iron Fist.
Talking with The Independent, Cox broke some news.
What we do know is at the end of this year we’re going to be making The Defenders and, of course, Daredevil is very much a part of that foursome. I have no idea what the storyline is going to be for that show. I’m very excited to see how those world’s combine… and interested to see tonally how those shows become one.
If Cox is indeed correct and The Defenders does start filming by the end of 2016, production on Iron Fist may be starting up quickly. Charlie also said that he is unsure if Daredevil will be returning for a third season just yet. Jessica Jones is currently gearing up to start production on season two and season one for Luke Cage is set to premier September 30th.
