In order to celebrate its 10th anniversary, Marvel released the official timeline to its cinematic universe, highlighting all of the movies that we’ve got to enjoy throughout the first phase of their eventual universe. Throughout its entirety, the studio has been pretty accurate in its continuation despite a few hiccups.
Without further ado, the movies you grew to love throughout the past 10 years:
1943-1945: Captain America: The First Avenger
2010: Iron Man
2011: Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk, Thor
2012: The Avengers, Iron Man 3
2013: Thor: The Dark World
2014: Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
2015: Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man
2016: Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming
2016 through to 2017: Doctor Strange
2017: Black Panther, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War
They’ve done it so gracefully. All of these action-packed moments had led to the moments in Avengers: Infinity War and with the 4th Avengers installment coming out in the first half of 2019, fans are holding their breath waiting for the follow-up. Throughout the 10 years, Marvel has done a good job in keeping fans guessing and through this past year, they’ve continued to do with Thanos’ snap.
What comes after the 4th Avengers movie will be the 2nd phase of the cinematic Universe. Marvel has already scheduled a few movies for the next phase including:
Captain Marvel (March 8th 2019)
Spider-Man: Far From Home (July 5th 2019)
Black Panther 2 (TBD)
Guardians of The Galaxy 3 (TBD)
Doctor Strange 2 (TBD)
The Eternals (TBD)
At this point, it’s just time to be patient and enjoy. Marvel has made it easy to do so.
