The most Webster had scored in a game this season 6 multiple times before giving a strong showing off the bench in last night’s 113-108 overtime loss to Cleveland. Webster scored 20 points on 5/9 shooting while also recording 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. The performance far surpassed his season averages of 3.3 points, .5 assists, and 1.4 rebounds in 11 minutes per game.
With Otto Porter injured in the overtime loss, Webster may have an opportunity to play in additional minutes unless the Porter injury only takes a day or two to rest. Although the ankle injured Otto suffered in the first half of the loss did not seem significant enough to hold him out for too long, Webster being ready will certainly give the Wizards another scoring threat off the bench.
