The situation surrounding Martavis Bryant has taken an interesting turn. It was recently reported that the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver had recently requested a trade from the team. However, Bryant says that he has not requested a trade.
Bryant was asked about the trade request, to which he replied “Nah. I’m good, man. I’m good to go. Just gonna play ball … finish strong and move on forward.”
The Steelers posted this video to their Twitter page today about Bryant discussing the trade rumors to reporters.

Bryant also stated that he was happy to be apart of the Steelers organization on Twitter.
Big win today and tomorrow right back to work tomorrow I am happy to be a steeler and can’t wait to reach number 7 this year.

It can be confusing following the Bryant situation. Many sources have stated that Bryant did indeed request a trade.

This year, Bryant is third on the team in targets (34), fourth in receptions (17), and second in receiving yards (231). Currently, there seem to be no plans from the Steelers to trade Bryant.
It is possible Bryant may leave after this year. He is in the final year of his rookie contract. He is a good receiver and could get a nice payday this offseason. The Steelers got a nice win against the Kansas City Chiefs this past Sunday and will prepare for their next game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
