Markelle Fultz is projected by many to be the number one overall pick in the upcoming 2017 NBA Draft. Smokescreen season is upon us, and the Boston Celtics are reportedly throwing Josh Jackson in the running as the top pick in the upcoming draft. But we all know how this stuff goes.
Pending a dramatic change, Fultz will be going to the Boston Celtics as the number one overall pick. Along with the honors of being the number one pick, the tradition of multiple companies courting the top pick come with it. Sneaker companies are often among those at the top chasing these big names, and Nike has once again pulled in a top draft prospect.
A couple of weeks ago Nike signed Kentucky prospect De’Aaron Fox to an endorsement deal. It looks like Fultz will join Fox and fellow young stars like Ben Simmons, D’Angelo Russell, Giannis Antetokounmpo and top stars like LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and DeMarcus Cousins.
