The first official trailer for Mark Whalberg‘s The Gambler has released!
The crime drama, which is a remake of James Caan’s 1974 film, sees Whalberg take on the role of a professor with gambling problems who has an unfortunate run in with the mob.
It has been rumored that Wahlberg lost 61 pounds to play the role of Jim Bennet, living off a diet of liquid fruit and vegetables.
The film stars Jessica Lange, Brie Larson, Michael Kenneth Williams and John Goodman.
The Gambler opens in theaters on December 19.
