Mark Rylance has entered talks to star in the upcoming Alice in Wonderland sequel.
According to The Wrap, if Rylance is cast, he will play Zanik Hightopp, the Mad Hatter’s father.
Details surrounding Hightopp and how he will be worked in the story line are being kept under wraps.
Johnny Depp is set to reprise his role as the Mad Hatter, along with Mia Wasikowska as Alice and Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen.
The film will be directed by James Bobin of The Muppets
