Majority owner of the Golden State Warriors, Joe Lacob, has been taking shots at the previous coach Mark Jackson all last week. Joe went on record last week saying,
“Part of it was that he couldn’t get along with anybody else in the organization,” Lacob said Wednesday at a venture. “And look, he did a great job, and I’ll always compliment him in many respects, but you can’t have 200 people in the organization not like you.”
Mark Jackson stayed on the higher road for about a week. Mark felt the time to respond to Lacobs comments was today. Jackson was asked today how he felt about Lacobs comments toward his inability to get along with folks in the organization. While smiling Jackson said,
“Lacob said I was good for nothing, an owner that knew me for three years and spent a couple of minutes around me, an owner that had the audacity to say that 200 folks don’t like me in the business.”
I don’t know why Warriors owner Joe Lacob would say those kind of things about a guy who worked for him for three years! Lacob tried to shed some light on why Mark Jackson was let go for winning fifty games for the Warrior’s last year, but ended up hurting his organization and future employee’s. As a owner you have a responsibility to take the high road at all times, so you don’t paint out a negative picture to future employee’s and investors!
