Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has forged a successful career out of his business aptitude. His various ventures have his net worth estimated at three billion dollars, evidence of his level of success.
Cuban may invest some of that success in a new area of expertise. In a sit-down with NBC’s Meet the Press, Cuban was asked about his willingness to listen if the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, approached the team owner to be her running mate. Cuban had the following to say:
“Absolutely. But the key would be that she’d have to go more to center. […] If she’s willing to listen, if she’s willing to hear other sides of things, then I’m wide open to discussion.”
This is certainly interesting, but not the first time the Mavs’ owner has openly spoken about throwing his hat in the political ring. In the end, this may be nothing more than a publicity stunt and an opportunity for Cuban to discuss politics openly and put his opinions out there.
It is still an enticing topic. Mark Cuban is a smart person and he’s not afraid of sharing his opinions on any topic, especially politics. Perhaps he would really consider a run as vice president for Hillary Clinton. If nothing else, he is indulging us with an interesting topic of discussion.
