Texas Tech could have easily folded as a program and finished near the bottom of the Big 12 when Chris Beard left for the Texas Longhorns. Mark Adams managed to keep the program together and performed better than Texas despite the early expectations for the Longhorns. Despite a disappointing end to the season, Texas Tech is still on the right track and will continue to be a top program in the Big 12. Adams gets a pay raise and continues to coach at his dream program.
