Mario Hezonja of FC Barcelona in Spain is entering his name for the 2015 NBA Draft.
Hezonja is a 20-year-old from Croatia who can play small forward, but his natural position is shooting guard and is expected to be a shooting guard in the NBA.
The 6’8 sharp shooter averaged 7.7 points and shot 38 percent from three-point range in 17 minutes a game in Euroleague play this season.
Hezonja is a deadly shooter from beyond the arc, but is also very good at putting the ball on the floor and getting to the rim.
“I really think if this kid was in college we’d all be going crazy for him,” one scout told ESPN.com. “He’s tough, he’s athletic, he shoots the s— out of it, and the kid just knows how to play. He’s going to be really, really good in the NBA. He’s the first wing on my board.”
Hezonja is expected to be drafted in the top ten in many mock drafts, including the latest version of Def Pen’s NBA Mock draft, where we have him going ninth overall to the Charlotte Hornets.
