On Monday July 21, 2025, global superstar Mariah Carey shared the release date for her forthcoming LP, Here For It All. The singer’s 16th album will be released on Friday, September 16, 2025.
Here For It All will be executive produced by LA Reid and released through gamma, an independent venture led by former Apple Music executive Larry Jackson. When the deal was announced earlier this year, Reid called it a “game changer” for both parties.
“What Larry Jackson is building at Gamma is beyond music,” Carey told Forbes. “It’s a cultural shift, and I’m excited to be part of something that honors legacy while pushing boundaries. This next chapter is about owning my narrative and creating freely on my own terms.”
In celebration, Carey released a new single called “Type Dangerous” to commemorate the deal. Carey is expected to follow the Anderson .Paak co-produced single with a new track called “Sugar Sweet.” Beyond “Type Dangerous” and “Sugar Sweet,” Carey has not offered anything else regarding the project’s track list.
Carey last released a solo album in 2018. Caution, a 1o-track album featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Gunna, Slick Rick and Blood Orange, debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 Chart. Paper referred to it as the top album of 2018 and Slant named it one of the best 100 albums of the 2010s.
Seven years after the release of Caution, Carey is back and she’s ready to prove that she’s better than ever. Check out the album announcement below.
