Now, Sony & Warner Brothers have linked up to work on the film that will potentially be released in 2020. If there is anyone that is suited for this film, Margot Robbie is the perfect woman to play a Barbie doll.
In terms of relevancy and context. Why make a Barbie Doll movie in 2018? In a world where both Gender roles and clothing have become seemingly mixed and more open, why deliberately make a movie that stereotypes them? At the same time, Warner Brothers & Sony can make this an opportunity to teach instead of stereotype.
