Margaret Pellegrini, one of the last surviving Munchkins from the original ‘The Wizard of Oz’ film, has passed away. She was 89 years old.
According to the Munchkin’s spokesman Ted Bulthaup, Pellegrini played the flowerpot Munchkin and one of the sleeping babies.
She passed away from a stroke in her home in Phoenix.
There are only two surviving munchkins left; Lollipop Kid Jerry Maren, 93, who lives in Los Angeles, and Ruth Duccini, 95, who also lives in Phoenix.
Flowers were placed on the Munchkin’s star on the Walk of Fame in her honor.
