With all the influx of talent the Boston Celtics have seen this offseason, the acquisition of forward Marcus Morris has been one of their more lowkey moves. Overshadowed by the Kyrie Irving blockbuster trade, bringing in a player with the versatility of Morris is the exact type of piece needed to help build a championship-caliber roster.
However, Morris will have to overcome an injury setback before beginning his career in Celtic green. According to Jay King of Masslive.com, Morris will miss the next week-plus with some lingering knee soreness.

With the NBA regular season set to commence within a few days, it’s needless to say Marcus Morris is on track to miss the first handful of games with the possibility of more.
Being acquired in return for Avery Bradley, Morris was expected to immediately come in and start at the other forward spot next to Gordon Hayward but that combo will have to wait to see the court together. Last year with the Detroit Pistons, Morris continued to make strides in his already expanding game, morphing into an agile and dependable perimeter scorer for his size.
With his being sidelined for another week or so, expect rookie Jayson Tatum to shoulder the starting load at power forward with Aron Baynes in the mix as well.
