With the commencement of the NBA regular season approaching rapidly, the legal situations of twins Markieff Morris and Marcus Morris remained a concern for their respective teams. Both are expected to play key roles on their respective teams: Markieff the top 4 man on the Washington Wizards and Marcus could start himself after being traded to the Boston Celtics depending on how they manage their crowded forward rotation.
However, it appears the brothers and their employers can all breath a sigh of relief as the two were found not guilty of their aggravated assault charges according to Robert Gundran of AZ Central:

With a big season ahead for Marcus and Markieff Morris, being found not guilty will help them stay on track, as the two seem to have finally found their NBA niche after an uneven first few years of their professional careers. The verdict is especially important for Markieff Morris who is already in the danger of missing some time after undergoing sports hernia surgery earlier this offseason.
The assault charges the two were facing stemmed from an incident that took place on January 24, 2015, in which a man was beaten outside of a high school basketball game in Phoenix, Arizona. The victim, Erik Hood, claimed to have known Marcus and Markieff and has said their relationship had gone downhill when the two found inappropriate text messages from Hood on their mother’s phone.
The twins have maintained their innocence throughout this entire process and now it appears that they will walk away from the saga unscathed and without facing any legal repercussions. Look for Marcus and Markieff Morris to be two integral pieces for the Celtics and Wizards respectively as they try to claw their way to the top of the Eastern Conference this season.
