Even though Kevin Seraphin was thrown into a backup role when the Wizards traded for Marcin Gortat, there were never any issues between the two. As the French big man moves on to join the New York Knicks, the starters in Washington’s frontcourt may be forced into playing more minutes.
Gortat was kind enough to take time to send out tweet out to Seraphin to wish him the best of luck in his newest opportunity, where he may be able to take on a larger role. That is the main reason he decided to leave DC, so for him, let’s hope the decision will not come back to haunt him.
Good luck in NYC @kevin_seraphin !! My boi…….

Now, the Polish Hammer has a chance to use his extra minutes to prove last season’s decline was a one year thing, and it will never happen again. The extra minutes may put a little more stress on Gortat to produce more, but with all of the money he will be making, is that really too much to ask?
