Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has been the topic of a lot of NFL drama over the fast few months. His nonchalant attitude towards his alcoholism and drug addictions have cost him his job, as well as millions of dollars. Even his dad, Paul, agrees that jail would be the best place for his son. It appeared that the former Heisman winner was in danger of losing his life.
Manziel has finally listened to all of his friends and peers. The troubled QB has decided to become sober starting on July 1st, according to TMZ. As of now, he is partying in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He recently went under fire when a girl staying in the mansion posted a picture of drugs on Snapchat. When asked if the drugs were his, Manziel responded, “They’re absolutely not mine. I don’t even know that girl.”
The Cleveland Browns cut the former Texas A&M star back in March. Since then, NFL teams have stayed far away from Manziel due to his off-the-field issues. This new development is fantastic news for Manziel fans, yet it’s weird that he is still allowing a few more days of partying. Nonetheless, it’s a good thing that he is deciding to take control of his life. Even though on the field he was average at best last season, he still has potential to turn himself around.
