Actor Mahershala Ali is set to star in the upcoming Apple TV+ film, Swan Song. As described by Variety, “The film is set in the near future and explores how far someone will go, and how much they’ll sacrifice, to make a happier life for the people they love.” Academy Award winner Benjamin Cleary will direct and write the film, which is set to begin production in the spring.
“Benjamin’s script for ‘Swan Song’ immediately connected with us,” said Apple’s Head of Feature Development and Acquisitions Matt Dentler.
“We cannot wait to bring Benjamin’s vision together with Mahershala’s undeniable talent to deliver this powerfully layered story to audiences around the world,” he continued.
Swan Song will also be released in theaters as well. No release date has been determined as of yet.
