Last night, Macklemore tweeteed that he would be dropping a new song today. The Seattle-raised recording artist said “Tomorrow morning we’re releasing a brand new song. One that I’ve wanted to put out for a while. Seems like the time is right….”.
Today, alongside producer Ryan Lewis, he dropped “Same Love”. The new song speaks on homosexuality and culture’s non-accepting nature of it.
We assume that Macklemore decided that now was a good time to drop the track because of Frank Ocean’s recent revelation.
As for the song itself, Macklemore does as Macklemore does and delievers a passionate storytelling experience that hooks the listener and makes them feel some emotions.
