
Nearly a decade into his career, Machine Gun Kelly has done something he has never done before. This week, the Cleveland native earned his first number one album with Tickets To My Downfall. During its first week, project moved 126,000 units.
The initial project arrived with fifteen tracks and features from Blackbear, Iann Dior, Halsey and Trippie Redd. Machine Gun Kelly then followed up with covers of Paramore’s “Misery Business” and “Love on the Brain” by Rihanna.
Tickets To My Downfall sets a new standard for his future projects. Previously, Machine Gun Kelly never landed in the top three of the Billboard 200 chart during his first week. Lace Up debuted at number four, General Admission debuted at number four and Bloom debuted at number eight. Most recently, Hotel Diablo debuted fifth on the Billboard 200 chart.
Rounding out the top five, SuperM’s Super One: The 1st Album landed at number two with 104,000 units, Joji earned the third spot with Nectar, Pop Smoke is at number four with his debut album and Deftones grabbed the fifth spot. Right outside, NBA Youngboy, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Juice WRLD all have top ten projects this week.
