Over the years, Lupe Fiasco has given the world of music everything he has and more. During his fifteen-year run in music, Lupe has given the world classics like Food & Liquor, worked with Jay-Z and earned his spot as one of the best lyricists of a generation. Despite his unparalleled talent, Lupe Fiasco’s superstar grind has been affected heavily by his dealings with record labels, music executives at Atlantic and beyond. After leaving Atlantic in 2017, Lupe was able to release his album, Drogas Light. Complete with features from Rick Ross and Big K.R.I.T, the album displays Lupe’s talent and love for music that has always been present.
This Friday, Lupe Fiasco has continued his independent grind with the release of his seventh studio album, Drogas Wave. Prolific in his craft, Lupe Fiasco’s new project comes with twenty-four records that feature Crystal Torres, Simon Sayz, Elena Pinderhughes, Bishop Edgar Jackson and longtime collaborator, Nikki Jean. Overall, the project serves as the second act in Lupe’s trilogy of albums that began with Drogas Light. Stream Drogas Wave above and be sure to stay tuned for Lupe Fiasco’s final album, Skulls, which is set to be released in the near future.
