As July 1st, the start of free agency nears, the more that we’re beginning to see things taking shape. Because of this, writers like me and my colleagues and of course fans are licking their lips in anticipation.
The Miami Heat’s free agency is starting to take shape, we’re beginning to see where the players of importance stand. Goran Dragic is expected to stay, Dwyane Wade is expected to look at the open market and according to ESPN’s Marc Stein, Luol Deng is going to opt out.
Hearing that the Heat now expect Luol Deng to opt for free agency and join Dwyane Wade on the open market come Wednesday

The expectation leaguewide is that Goran Dragic is basically a lock to stay with the Heat. D-Wade and Deng … not as lock-y as we thought

But as I was writing, I came across some Deng news via his agent, it seems that he’s showing loyalty to the Heat. Even though he’s opting out. His agent says that he plans to stay in South Beach.
Luol Deng’s agent Herb Rudoy says his client is staying with the Heat for the 2015-16 season. “He opted in 2 minutes ago,” Rudoy said.

People may look at Deng and go ‘he doesn’t matter, Heat have Winslow now’ but we always disrespect veteran leadership. Deng has made a career out of being reliable, for being asked to do a job and getting it done, he is a nice player that can always produce. With him and Wade, they can teach him a thing or two. You see it when Wade talks to Hassan Whiteside and Shabazz Napier. Pulling their head down and giving wisdom, believe it or not but that stuff is valuable.
