Luke Ridnour has found himself on an Orlando Magic squad that is currently honing very young talent. Ridnour knows this and when the Orlando Sentinel talked to him. He gave a minor hint that he is near retirement.
He can see Payton is picking up things quickly.
“He’s beyond his years,” Ridnour said of Payton. “You can tell he’s poised. He makes the right decisions.”
“It all goes by so fast,” he said. “My family is the most important thing…After this season, I’ll just take it season to season.”
Translation. If Payton explodes. Ridnour is probably either going to another team or is just going to draw the line on his career.
