Fans of The Chi will be seeing a lot more Luke James next season. James will return as a series regular playing the role of Victor “Trig” Taylor. Taylor steps in during season three as Jake’s estranged brother. As the city attempts to break them apart, the family hopes to hold on to their tight bond.
James is a busy actor in the world. Over the years, he’s appeared in Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G., Insecure and The Bobby Brown Story. He’s also had an incredible year as a musician. He released his sophomore album, To Feel Loved, and contributed to the Spillage Village album last year. This year, he’s nominated for a Grammy.
The Chi was renewed for a new season last September. Setback by the COVID-19 pandemic, production for the show’s newest season will begin production later this year.
