It all goes down in Harlem. Netflix and Marvel Studios have teamed up to release the latest trailer for season two of Luke Cage starring Mike Colter. The primary focus of the newest trailer is the rising celebrity of Luke Cage following the end of season one where he cleared himself of any wrongdoing. Unfortunately, with much celebrity comes great responsibility and often times, the responsibility that comes with being a hero is highly overrated.
According to the official description for season two, there will be a ton of action. Netflix and Marvel wrote, “Can one man save a community? And in his struggle to do so, will he find himself consumed by the very darkness he is fighting against? As a new villain rises, and a queen takes the throne in Harlem, cracks begin to form in the once unbreakable hero.”

The villain rumored to confront Luke Cage in season two is Bushmaster played by Mustafa Shakir. Unlike the foes Cage faced in season one, Bushmaster also possesses super strength and has the ability to inflict real pain on the hero of Harlem. Hopefully, Cage will be up for the challenge.
The second season of Marvel’s Luke Cage will arrive on Netflix on June 22nd with a full cast consisting of Mustafa Shakir, Rosario Dawson, Gabrielle Dennis, Simone Missick, Ron Cephas Jones, Reg E. Cathey and of course, Mike Colter.
