Luka Doncic has cemented his place in NBA history in being named the 2019 NBA Rookie of the Year. Proving himself a dominant player for the Dallas Mavericks in his freshman campaign, Doncic edged out Phoenix Suns center DeAndre Ayton and Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young to win the Rookie of the Year honor.

After being taken third overall in the 2018 NBA Draft, Doncic showed out in his first NBA season as the Slovenian offensive threat averaged 21.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists despite the Mavericks missing out on the Playoffs.
