Fresh off of earning two Grammy nominations, Lucky Daye has returned with exciting news. This spring, the Louisiana native will hit the road for the “Candy Trip” tour with Joyce Wrice. Over five weeks, the talented duo will put together shows in Portland, Dallas, New Orleans, Nashville, Louisville, Boston and several other cities.
Adding to Lucky Daye’s announcement, he has also shared a new track called “Candy Drip.” Produced by D’Mile, the soulful tracks tells the story of a man wrapped up in a relationship that is no good for either party. Still, their bond is too tight to be broken.
“I can’t keep up the pace/She got me out my ways/I eat on, put it on my plate/Honey, you be up to the same shame, same old/Can you speak up tomorrow?” he sings, according to Genius.
“I wake you up for talk/Baby, you’re the wave, maybe you’re the way to divine.”
“Candy Drip” sets the stage for the follow-up to his debut album, Painted. He will also be featured on Mary J. Blige’s Good Morning Gorgeous and Alicia Keys’ Keys. In short, Lucky Daye is coming. Check out his full list of tour dates below.
