Lou Williams has re-established himself as a dominate 6th man or (6man as Drake likes to say in his album) in the NBA and has definitely contributed to the Toronto Raptors scoring fire power. Lou Williams will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, but Lou already knows where he wants to go, Toronto.
According to Real GM, Lou already tried to get re-signed:
“I already tried to get them to go do it — get an extension. But at this point in my career, I want to play somewhere where the fans appreciate you, your team is serious about winning and create something special. And these guys are bulldogs. They love competing. We have that us against the world mentality where nobody respects us because we’re in Canada. We have an identity, and I love it.
“It’s perfect for my personality. I’ve always been the underdog, I’ve always been overlooked. I’ve always been the guy where it was like we’ll see what he does and then we’ll check on Lou. That’s been my CAREER.”
People want to RE-SIGN in Toronto? First Kyle Lowry and now Lou Williams. As a Raptors fan, I LIKE the direction were heading. Lou Williams has been averaging 13.7 points, 2.7 assists, and about 2 three pointers a game for the Raptors off the bench.
