Los Angeles Clippers guard Lou Williams has won the 2019 NBA Sixth Man of the Year award. Williams has officially tied Jamal Crawford as the only player to receive the award three times in his career. He is a back-to-back winner as well, after being named the 2018 NBA Sixth Man of the Year.

Williams was a spark plug off the bench for Los Angeles. The Clipper guard averaged 20 points per game, as well as three rebounds and 5.4 assists. Williams shot 42.5% from the field and 36.1% from beyond the arc.
A video of Williams accepting his award can be seen here:
Williams edged out Los Angeles teammate Montrezl Harrell as well Indiana Pacers big man Domantas Sabonis. If the Clippers guard can win the award next season, he will have won it the most times in NBA history. At a certain point, the NBA might want to eventually name this award the Lou Williams Award.
