Los Angeles Clippers Promote Doc Rivers, Hire New GM
The Los Angeles Clippers are doing some re-structuring to their front office. Head coach Doc Rivers, who was senior vice president of basketball operations, will now be the president, according to the team. Rivers’ long time assistant coach Kevin Eastman has been promoted to vice president for his first front office position.
Lastly, David Wohl, former director of scouting for the Clippers, will now be the general manager. Former executive vice president of player personnel Gary Sacks will now be the assistant general manager. Clippers assistants Tyronn Lue and Alvin Gentry are both being courted by teams for head coaching vacancies.
