The recent saga between Draymond Green and the Los Angeles Clippers may be getting dragged out a bit too much now.
There was the infamous ‘bump’, where Draymond Green was doing a postgame interview and Clippers guard Dahntay Jones bumped into him on television. Green later had some harsh words for Jones and how much he plays.
Then Jones was fined by the league and Doc Rivers didn’t agree to it, even going as far as mocking Green.
Green then followed that up with a ‘Cool Story, Glenn‘. Using Rivers’ government name to try and mock him.
Now, Rivers has responded back to Green and his choice of words.
Following from Arash Markazi of ESPN.
“Clearly they’re thinking about us more than we know,” Rivers said. “It makes me happy that I could get someone mad. That probably made my day.”
“When my mom was mad at me and Pat Riley was mad at me they called me Glenn,” Rivers said. “So I guess now Draymond is in that category.”
I sincerely hope, this is the LAST thing we hear between the 2. It’s kind of getting stale and this feels like Doc is just trying to get the last laugh in the mini-fued.
It was cool before, but now it’s kind of lame.
We do know 2 things are for certain.
1. There will be no discussions between Rivers and Green this summer when Draymond becomes a free agent.
2. The anticipation for these 2 teams meeting in the playoffs is very high.
