The Los Angeles Clippers are undoubtedly crushed after losing DeAndre Jordan to the Dallas Mavericks in free agency, and they aren’t wasting any time trying to find players to help replace him. It also looks like the Clippers are interested in making a possible offer to JaVale McGee according to reports. Both players are free agents.

Since Clippers have such financial limitations, also keep an eye on JaVale McGee as a Doc Rivers reclamation project — Ramona Shelburne (@ramonashelburne) July 4, 2015
The facts are that the departure of Deandre Jordan left a gaping hole in the Clipper’s frontcourt, and it’s only right for them to do what they can in order to recover from their loss. West recently made the decision to opt out of his $12.6-million player option for the 2015-16 season, his reason being that the Pacers simply aren’t in title contention, and the veteran, 34, wants at least one Larry O’Brien trophy on his shelf before he walks off into the sunset.
According to our other reports, West also had the Warriors and Spurs on his mind but with DeAndre Jordan now in Dallas, a starting spot has opened up in LA. available for him to snag.
I don’t doubt that it will be intriguing to see whether or not West is interested in signing with the Clippers. There is also no questioning the idea that reuniting with Chris Paul would intrigue him, as they both played with the New Orleans Hornets together awhile back.
I’ve heard David West has had #Clippers on his short list of preferred destinations because of his interest in rejoining Chris Paul.

We all know Doc Rivers would love to have a leader like West on the roster, and a consistent mid-range shooter to compliment Griffin. But does West in LA make the Clippers a better contender than he would with the Pacers in the East once you factor in conference strength and depth? Well, in my opinion David West seems like a good answer for the time being, and if I am the Clippers, I almost certainly roll those dice.
