All through last season and this preseason everyone has been preaching about how good the Clippers bench was.
And then here comes the Lakers bench scoring 70+ points! Where did that come from?!
And funnily enough the star of the night was Xavier Henry. I remember when he dropped nearly 30 in the Lakers’ first preseason game. 26 points and the unlikely Lakers are 1-0. Who knew?!
I wouldn’t say that it the Lakers are in the Playoffs because I don’t expect the bench to drop 60+ every game. The starters need to do something at some point. Kobe or not the starting 5 will need to kick it into high gear. I trust Pau though. I think he’ll do okay.
But the Clips should’ve won the game. CP3 with 11 assists and DeAndre Jordan with 11 rebounds.
It’ll be an interesting game next time these two meet…
