Lorde celebrates the two-year anniversary of Melodrama announcing a new album is on the way.
2017’s Melodrama served as Lorde’s sophomore release, and says the album emptied her.
“The day it came out i did a jigsaw puzzle all day in my hotel room in NY. I felt so emptied, i didn’t really know yet that you make a record and get filled up, and then releasing it empties you.. and slowly fills you up again.” Lorde writes using the Instagram story feature.
She continues to share a third album is in the oven. While there are no details on a release date, the announcement serves as a major announcement.
