As the Los Angeles Lakers season winds down to its disappointing conclusion, we’ve seen the turmoil and adversity around point guard Lonzo Ball’s Big Baller Brand gain serious attention.
A report surfaced last week that Ball cut ties with BBB’s co-founder, Alan Foster, over a missing $1.5 million dollars. Now it appears Lonzo is ready to take it a step further, as the Ahletic’s Shams Charania reports that Ball plans to file a lawsuit against Foster for damages worth over $2 million.
Per lawsuit papers, Lakers' Lonzo Ball is suing Big Baller Brand co-founder Alan Foster for damages "in excess of $2 million"; and, in part, "funds taken by Foster from BBB … to purchase assets in Ethiopia as a means of, among other things, secreting stolen funds…"

A messy situation all-around, the Big Baller Brand remains in serious jeopardy thanks to funds being mismanaged by the company’s co-founder. Of course, Alan Foster is a close friend of LaVar Ball’s and also had a close relationship with all three of the Ball children prior to recent weeks’ findings.
This pending lawsuit from Lonzo Ball is now the latest in the ongoing saga between the Lakers point guard and his brand. Hopefully, Ball uses this time of uncertainty to move forward and progress his career on the court as it appears he’s doing.
Ball seems to have severed ties with both the brand and maybe even his father, as his Instagram account no longer has any traces of either BBB or LaVar. Ball also got the BBB tattoo in honor of his own brand covered up recently.
