Ball, 23, has been linked with Chicago for quite some time now. Prior to the trade deadline Bulls’ President of Basketball Operations, Arturas Karnisovas and General Manager pushed heavily to acquire the four-year guard.
Unfortunately, talk stalled out as the Pelicans weren’t biting on the Lauri Markkanen offer. Fast forward to the first couple minutes of free agency and he’s agreed to Chicago’s deal.
With that being said, Lonzo Ball is still a restricted free agent and New Orleans still has the ability to match any offer thrown by the Bulls. There had been previous news circulating that the Hornets, Pelicans, and Bulls have discussed a three-team deal sending Devonte Graham to NOLA, Ball to Chicago, and Lauri Markkanen to Charlotte.

However, Chicago is sending Tomas Satoransky, Garrett Temple and a second-round pick for Lonzo.

Ball averaged 14.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game last season. He shot a career-high from a three at a 37% clip. He’ll provide dynamic playmaking, proficient catch-and-shoot play, resounding defense, and overall excitement at the point guard position– a position the Bulls have been surely bereft of.
That being said, after a long wait Lonzo Ball will finally be a Bull
