
Netflix had ordered a series from writer Liz Feldman. The dark comedy, produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, is titled ‘Dead to Me’.
The series will center on a friendship between a tightly wound window and a free spirit with a shocking secret. The streaming service has ordered 10-episodes for the first season.
Feldman is set to write as well as executive produce alongside Ferrell and McKay. Jessica Elbaum will also produce. Elbaum is a part of Gloria Sanchez Productions, the female-centric counterpart to Ferrel and McKay’s Gary Sanchez Productions. Ferrell, Feldman, and McKay are all under deals with CBS Television Studios so the company will also produce.
Feldman has credits working on 2 Broke Girls and The Great Indoors. She also writing credits on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Blue Collar TV.
Ferrell and McKay have been working together for years and this is just the latest project they have collaborated on. They currently serve as executive producers on the popular Comedy Central show Drunk History as well as LA to Vegas for Fox.
Not much is known about the production of the show thus far, a release date has yet to be announced.
