Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard did a session on Instagram live just over a week ago. He was sitting in the studio and talking to the fans about just about everything. But towards the end of his session, Lillard start to rap a little with the ‘Perkys calling’ instrumental in the background.

The Southside produced beat was first brought into the public eye thanks to Future and his track on the DJ Esco 2016 ‘Purple Reign’ mixtape. Just a few months later, another Atlanta artist used the same beat to deliver a hit of his own. 6lack said he used the ‘Perkys Calling’ beat and put his own spin on it without even hearing the full song all the way through. That’s how ‘Ex Calling’ came about and it proved to be one of the big hits from his ‘FREE 6LACK’ debut project.
Next up for the ‘Perkys Calling’ remix is none other than Lillard. Dame showcases his all-star rapping talents just under a week after he dropped a remix to the Drake song ‘Free Smoke’ alongside P HU$TLE & Bozzle. This time, Lillard goes solo and delivers more fantastic bars.
