
There was a deadline NBA teams had to reach before they had to keep players on the roster for the remainder of the season and pay their contracts in full. Before the 5PM deadline on Wednesday.
The following teams made these moves before the deadline, as reported on the teams official websites.
The Knicks waived Lance Thomas, Lou Amundson and Alex Kirk after acquiring them in a 3-team deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Cleveland Cavaliers. The Knicks also waived center Samuel Dalembert and signed D-League guard Langston Galloway to a 10-day contract. He debuted last night against the Washington Wizards.
The Cavaliers waived guard A.J. Price, for the second time this season. Cavaliers also acquired Timofey Mozgov in a trade.
The Clippers traded guard Jared Cunningham to the 76ers, who then in turn waived him. Sixers traded for Cunningham basically for the second round draft pick they received.
The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the team has waived forward Jeff Adrien. Adrien was signed by the team not too long ago.
The Washington Wizards announced today that the team has waived guard Glen Rice. The Wizards weren’t able to find a trade partner for Rice.
