Lil’ Yachty may be a solo entity, but much of his recent success is tied to artist collaboration. Not long ago, he joined Drake and 21 Savage as they were putting together Her Loss. More recently, he’s teamed up with Dc2trill, Draft Day, Karrahbooo and Camo! to form the Concrete Boys. Now, he’s preparing to release a new album with none other than James Blake. The project, titled Bad Cameo, will be released on Friday, June 28, 2024.
Not much is known about who will be featured on the project or how long it will be, but Blake recently said it was “trippy, ethereal, and deep, maybe the deepest Yachty’s gone.” “We got a really vulnerable side of Yachty in some of those sessions,” Blake added. Similarly, Yachty said the album was “so left for both [him and Blake].”
Thus far, the duo has only unveiled the album’s cover, an overhead photo of the duo sitting at a small table with both men sitting on opposite ends. Yachty, donning bracelets on both hands and a ring on his ring finger, is holding a cup of what looks like lean and a clean white plate. Meanwhile, Blake, wearing a watch, sits his hand in between a coffee mug and a plate of what looks like beans.
Little can be gleamed from the cover, but it’s all that we can grab on to until the project arrives on Friday, June 28. As we wait, check out the artwork below.
